Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports is excited to announce its popular Movie Fundraiser at Centennial Theatre on Saturday, November 7th with two shows. The annual fundraiser will feature Warren Miller Enterprise’s new ski movie DAYS OFF. Marking the start of the winter season, the event raises awareness and much-needed funds for the non-profit society.
“We are thrilled to be kicking off the start of the season with our annual Movie Fundraiser,” said Anne Bethune, VASS President. “The funds raised from this event make it possible for us to provide individuals with a disability access to the mountains, while increasing their self-confidence, motivation and independence through outdoor recreation.”
Drop in on Warren Miller's 77th annual film and follow host Katie Burrell as the world's best athletes show you what they do on their days off—no agenda, no competition, just pure, unscripted joy across Alaska, Japan, Deer Valley, Chamonix, and BC’s Whistler, Revelstoke, and Pemberton. Featuring Canadians Christina Lustenberger and Craig McMorris among others.
In addition to the film screening, there will be door prizes, giveaways and an online auction with all proceeds benefitting VASS. It promises to be a fun event!
The afternoon show starts at 2:30 pm with doors opening at 1:30 pm. Tickets are $30.
The evening show starts at 7:00 pm with doors opening at 6:00 pm and is sponsored by Mt Seymour Ski Resort with every attendee receiving a free lift ticket! Plus, courtesy of North Shore Ski & Board every attendee will receive a coupon for a free buff wax, value $25! Tickets are $60. Early bird tickets available until September 30th.
